An endowment fund provides support in perpetuity to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County in an area of your choosing. An endowment gift may be established through an outright gift of cash or long-term appreciated securities, a pledge over a period of time, or a bequest in your estate plan.
Hunger Prevention

$3,000,000 provides $150,000 per year to fund the cost of the Club’s Food & Nutrition Program.

The Boys & Girls Club of Ada County served nearly 200,000 meals annually. The Nutrition Program ensures that healthy meals which meet or exceed the standards of the USDA and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans are provided to our members every day the Club is open, free of charge. Additionally, the Club delivers evolving programs that educate members on healthy eating habits and making good nutritional choices with the goal of fighting childhood obesity.

Technology
The [Name of Your Choice] Endowment Fund

$1,000,000 provides $50,000 per year to purchase, maintain and upgrade Club technology resources.

This endowment provides the resources needed to ensure the Club can provide, through the use of technology, relevant, practical and contemporary programs and services which aid our members in their pursuit of academic success and career exploration.

Examples include:

•    Regular updates to hardware and software for both of the Club’s education and technology centers

•    Regular maintenance and security updates of the Club’s systems

•    Specialized software, materials and services to augment core program initiatives

Buildings/Capital Projects

$1,000,000 provides $50,000 per year to maintain a safe and productive club house for our members as well as to purchase replacement equipment.

This endowment provides support for the necessary purchase of equipment and maintaining the existing facility to provide a safe, attractive, well-functioning building and program area that drives the young people of our community through our doors – and keeps them here.

Academic Success

$1,000,000 provides $50,000 per year toward the cost of staff and program supplies for a program department.

This endowment provides the resources the Club needs to enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations, and embrace technology to achieve success in a career.

Access to Services

$2,000,000 provides $100,000 per year for the Club’s transportation services.

This endowment provides accessibility to the Club by providing transportation to the Club after school and home in the evenings.  Additionally, transportation is an integral element of the Club’s college preparatory program, community service projects, and much more.

The endowment subsidizes transportation expenses including:

•    Program travel and field trip expenses including Club athletics, community service projects, etc.

•    Fuel and fleet maintenance

•    Busing contracts

•    Staffing, insurance and registration

Emergency Needs

$100,000 provides $5,000 per year for basic supplies and resources necessary to meet unmet needs.

This endowment provides special assistance to help Club members and their families most in need with basic social, health and welfare issues. Club staff discreetly identify pressing needs such as winter apparel and food assistance for members whose needs are dire and immediate.

Mentoring/Professional Development

$250,000 provides $12,500 per year to support the cost of training and development for our professional staff.

This endowment provides support for training, professional development, continuing education and recognition for the development and retention of Boys & Girls Club of Ada County employees. Our professional staff are the key to our success with our members. The personal attention and guidance provided by caring, professional youth development professionals means that the young people we serve have the opportunities they need for GREAT Futures!

Healthy Lifestyles
The [Name of Your Choice] Endowment Fund

$1,000,000 provides $50,000 per year toward the cost of staff and program supplies for a program department.

This endowment provides the resources the Club needs to develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults and develop fitness, the positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.

Examples include:

•    Smart Moves (Skills Mastery And Resistance Training)

•    Smart Girls

•    Passport to Manhood

•    Triple Play

Scholarships

$200,000 provides $10,000 per year for scholarship assistance.

This endowment provides support for Club members who can’t afford the membership fee, extended services or summer field trips.

Sports & Recreation
The [Name of Your Choice] Endowment Fund

$1,000,000 provides $50,000 per year to support the Clubs sports programs.

This endowment allows for a full-time Athletic Director, and ongoing program equipment replacement to help all Club members be able to play organized sports.

Good Character & Leadership

$1,000,000 provides $50,000 per year toward the cost of staff and program supplies for a program department.

This endowment provides essential resources which ensure the existence of an array of character and leadership development programs which empower youth to support and influence their Clubs and the community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image, participate in the democratic process and respect their own and others’ cultural identities.

Examples include:

•    Keystone Club

•    Torch Club

•    Youth of the Year

•    Volunteer Projects in the community
