Our teens had the chance to take part in the Tater Dash Mud Run at Twin Oaks Farms in Eagle on Saturday, September 19. Over the summer, we were able to go out and help prepare the course, and then earlier this fall we went back and did a little more work so it was really exciting to take part in the event and see the fruits of our labors.

We met at the Club Saturday morning to head out to the farm. After a few photos we did a quick warm-up with 102.7FM and then joined the throng at the starting line.

Over the course of the race we waded through bogs of thick mud, swam through pits of muddy water, climbed up hills, crawled under sprinkler line, climbed over logs, slid down muddy hillsides, and many more obstacles. After 2+ hours and 5.2 grueling miles we finally crossed the finish line dirty and exhausted, but feeling really great about having done so.
