As a family-owned business since 1967, Western Heating & Air Conditioning has grown into more than “those guys who fix your furnace.”  With a staff of over 80 employees and more business than ever, owner Bob Barnes credits their success with the relationships they have built and the trust they have earned in the community.  That trust has helped them double in size in just the last 10 years. 

“Our customers are local, our employees are local,” says Barnes.  We wouldn’t be here without our local customers’ support, so it only makes sense to be there when our neighbors and community need us.  That’s why we like to help charities that are in our own back yard.”

When asked why Bob supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County, he smiles and says, “I have a soft spot for kids;  the kids today will be the ones who take care of us all in the future.”   Bob also has a personal connection with the Club; his sister’s children attended the Boys & Girls Club in Garden City.  “The Club gives kids what they need:  a safe place, a meal, and… a chance.”
