Club Members get Excited about Community Service | Boys & Girls Clubs Of Ada County

March not only kicked off better weather but also the Moseley Center’s quarterly community service projects. With three age groups (K-3rd, 4th-6th, and teens) excited to get involved, it was easy to have fun while doing something meaningful for our community.

The teens decided to make the Idaho Humane Society the focus of their quarterly project. They sold cupcakes, cookies, and Rice Krispies® treats, and successfully raised over $100 for their cause!

The 4th-5th graders celebrated Spring while helping to bring joy to the nearby assisted living center. The cards they crafted including cute sayings such as, “Enjoy the better weather,” “Happy Easter,” and “Spring has Sprung.” For most of a rotational hour, almost every 4th-6th grader who was at the Club participated in the card-creating community project. The cards will be dropped off soon to many happy residents!

The K-3rd graders participated in a “clean up the Club” project. The park adjacent to the Club, the playground, and the perimeter of the facility were all tidied up. The staff noted the members were all participatory and had a great attitude throughout.

The Moseley Center members look forward to their next community service projects. As a member from the Teen group mentioned, “It’s nice to give back to the community who has given us so much.”
