First Teen Night of The Year | Boys & Girls Clubs Of Ada County

The Moseley Center had its first Teen Night of the year on September 29th. The festivities started at 7:30 and went until 10:00. Teen Night is open to all current teen members and they are able to bring one guest.

The teens kicked the night off with pizza, root beer floats, and a raffle. Everyone who attended was entered to win a pair of sweet noise canceling, wireless headphones. A lucky guest ended up being the winner! Other prizes included a $5 gift card to Dutch Bros and a gift card for a free meal from Chick-Fil-A. Bryan, one of our teens, got a $10 gift card to Dutch Bros because he recruited the most new teens during our free registration month!

After the food settled, the ballers of the club practiced for their dunk competition. The baskets in the gym were lowered as far as possible, and some outstanding dunks were had! When the participating teens were ready to show off their dunk skills, the rest of the teens judged them on three separate dunks. Each participant received a meal card from Chick-Fil-A.

Other activities from the night included a pool tournament, karaoke, and Xbox gaming. Cam Warren, Teen Coordinator, says everyone had lots of fun: “There were some very ESPN Top Plays dunks–thankfully, we got pictures and some video! Karaoke was also very memorable. At first, the teens were a bit shy about singing, but as the night moved along they loosened up. I am very much looking forward to more nights like this and hope we can coordinate with other clubs in the area to have a collaborative Halloween Teen Night!”
